Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 8, 2026

This policy explains how Hookwell ("we", "us") handles information, including information received through the APIs of YouTube (Google), X, Meta (Instagram and Facebook), Twitch and Kick. Hookwell is based in New Brunswick, Canada.

What our application does

Hookwell operates an internal application that:

The application is used only by Hookwell and the account owners who authorize it.

Information we access

When an account owner signs in and grants permission, we may access the following, depending on the platform:

YouTube (Google)

X

Meta (Instagram and Facebook)

Twitch and Kick

We also store the access tokens needed to keep each connection active. We do not access direct messages, contacts, payment information, or the personal data of viewers.

How we use this information

We do not use this information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with third parties except as required by law or as needed to provide the service (for example, our hosting providers, who are bound to keep it confidential).

Google API Services User Data Policy

Hookwell's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

YouTube API Services

Hookwell uses YouTube API Services. By authorizing Hookwell, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Other platforms

Each platform also handles your information under its own terms and privacy policy: X Privacy Policy, Meta Privacy Policy, Twitch Privacy Notice and Kick Privacy Policy. We use each platform's data only as permitted by its developer terms.

Storage and security

Data is stored on servers controlled by Hookwell. Access tokens and credentials are stored encrypted and are available only to the systems that need them. We keep analytics data only as long as needed to provide reporting, and delete stored tokens when a channel is disconnected.

Revoking access and deleting your data

You can revoke Hookwell's access at any time from each platform's settings:

Data deletion requests: to ask us to delete data we hold about your account, email hello@hookwell.ca with the subject "Data deletion" and your account handle. We will confirm and delete it within 30 days. When you disconnect an account, we delete its stored access tokens.

Changes

We may update this policy. The "Last updated" date above shows when it last changed.
